Bride Breaks Silence After Wedding Planner Upstaged Her Big Day By SLIDING Down The Staircase

A bride has spoken out after her wedding planner seemingly upstaged her on her big day by sliding down the staircase beside her.

In a video that has since gone viral, a bridal attendant was seen flying down a marble railing on her behind as bride Laura was making her grand entrance with her father.

As Laura walked arm-in-arm down the grand staircase at Parkway Central Library in Philadelphia with her dad, the organizer could be seen zipping down the ledge to make it to the bottom before them.

According to a new interview, she opted for the quick-thinking move because she wanted to quickly get to Laura so she could fluff the wedding gown train before she walked down the aisle.

Once at the bottom of the stairs, the planner jumped up and raced over to make sure the back of the dress was picture perfect.

While the bizarre scenes quickly drew fierce criticism online, Laura said that she wasn’t mad ‘at all’ by the ‘distracting’ mad dash.

Speaking to Inside Editionshe said: ‘There’s a type of bride that would be upset, and that’s not me.’

‘Not a big deal to me,’ she continued. ‘She was doing her job, and she did it very well.

The bride’s nonchalant response comes after social media users fiercely criticized the attendant for being a distraction on the bride’s nuptials.

Responding to the viral video on TikTok, one user slammed: ‘Oh no I would not be happy with this.’

‘I cannot believe she did that,’ another shocked commenter said.

A third added: ‘No. She took away their special moment. And distracted everyone. She could’ve wait three seconds.’

‘I was a wedding coordinator,’ continued a fourth. ‘There was no reason for her not to duck down behind the pillar until they made it down the stairs.’

Australian wedding co-ordinator Isabella Watkins also lambasted the staffer’s actions and branded her ‘unprofessional’.

Speaking to news.com.au., she said: ‘It was totally out of line. I think it’s very unprofessional.

‘A moment like that, where she’s getting the raw reaction of her partner seeing her walk down the aisle, I think that could have been a moment that was really lost.’

Others, however, saw the funny side.

‘If I was the bride, I would be really upset that I wasn’t offered the slide option,’ one joked.

‘I just know she ran your wedding like the NAVY,’ another added.

A third said: ‘All of you guys complaining about her being “distracting” or “ruining the moment” have either never been married or you’re way too serious. I would have thought this was hilarious.’
