Ask any woman in the UK who their style inspiration is this winter, and we’ll wager at least half of them will reply: Claudia Winkleman. Her unashamedly eccentric ‘castlecore’ outfits on The Traitors have legions of us buying everything from jacquard jumpers and kilts, to lug boots and fingerless gloves.

If there’s one thing Winkleman – and mastermind behind the outfits, stylist Sinead McKeefry – is best-known for, it’s fantastic knitwear. Remember that khaki sweater with the smiley-face elbow patches that sprung up dozens of dupes last year? Then there was the red balloon-sleeve jumper by Mr Mittens that had fashion editors drooling, and the skeleton knit that brought a whole new meaning to Halloween chic.

This year proved no exception, with one jumper in particular eliciting impressed ‘oooohs’ from stylish sorts.

As per usual, given Winkleman’s luxe taste, the statement jumper came from high-end brand Isabel Marant, and with a pretty sizable £1,290 price tag. However, in recent weeks, we’ve noticed a few near identical shaggy jumpers on the highstreet – and honestly, they’re much fitting to our budget (unless we somehow win The Traitors’ £100k prize money pre-Christmas).

For starters, there’s H&M’s Fringed Jumper in the same Ecru shade, with a near-exact tassel effect to the designer version Winkleman wore. It doesn’t have the same high neck (which in many ways, if you wear make-up, is a blessing) and it’s made with majority polyester rather than wool, however at just £54.99, we’re not complaining. What’s , H&M members can enjoy access to the 20%-off Black Friday sale already, so you can nab the sweater for a pretty remarkable £44.

There’s also a great Arrange option to shop via Asos with a similar oversized, baggy effect to Winkleman’s, which is currently selling for £105 with the brand’s Black Friday discount code. And, while not available online, M&S’s Cosy Loopy Jumper is a spot-on dupe of the Marant original, priced at just £45. Keep an eye out in-store – and prepare to look très sheep et très chic.
