Honor Power2 Phone Launched With A 10,080mAh Battery And A Thickness Of Less Than 8 Mm!
It wasn’t that long ago that phones with a battery capacity of than 5,000 mAh were automatically classified as bulky phones or intended for rugged use. But recent years have seen a major shift thanks to silicon-carbon (Si/C) technology, which has allowed companies to increase the energy density inside batteries without having to make the phone too bulky. Today, we are close to crossing the 10,000 mAh barrier inside smartphones that are less than 8 mm thick.
In this context, Honor officially announced in China its new Honor Power2 phone, which comes with a huge silicon-carbon battery with a capacity of 10,080 mAh. The company confirms that the phone is capable of providing than 20 hours of continuous use, with expectations of video playback for than 26 hours, or 17 hours of continuous navigation, or up to 14 hours of non-stop gaming.

The battery supports 80W fast charging, in addition to the ability to use the phone as a power bank to charge other devices with a capacity of up to 27W. Despite this large capacity, the phone is only 7.98 mm thick, with a weight of 216 grams, which is an impressive achievement in this price category.
Aside from the battery, the Honor Power2 offers the full specifications of a modern Android phone, with high water and dust resistance standards including IP68, IP69 and IP69K. It also includes a 6.79-inch AMOLED screen with FHD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate, with a brightness of up to 1800 nits, and a 16-megapixel front camera, along with a built-in fingerprint sensor under the screen.
The Power2 is the first phone to be launched with a MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Elite processor, which comes with a design that relies on large cores only, using ARM Cortex-A725 cores. The main core runs at 3.4 GHz, supported by three cores at 3.2 GHz and four cores at 2.2 GHz. In terms of graphics, the processor is based on the Mali-G720 MC8, and it scored than 2.4 million points on the AnTuTu platform according to tests.
In terms of photography, the phone comes with a 50-megapixel main rear camera with an f/1.9 lens aperture with OIS optical stabilization support, along with a 5-megapixel wide camera. The phone runs on the MagicOS 10 interface based on Android 16.
Honor Power2 is available in three colors: Midnight Black and Sunrise Orange, inspired by the design iPhone phones Modern, Snowfield White. The price of the phone in China starts at 2699 yuan ($385) for the 12/256 GB version, while the price of the 12/512 GB version reaches 2999 yuan ($428). Sales are scheduled to start on January 9, with no confirmation yet regarding the availability of the phone in global or Arab markets outside of China.
