Womans Rant About People Wearing Skin
A woman has sparked a fierce debate online after she condoned people wearing skin-tight activewear in public.
It’s no secret that working out in tight clothes comes with a slew of benefits like muscle support, safety and comfort.
But in recent years there has been a rise in people wearing athletic clothes even when they’re not at the gym.
In fact, the athleisure clothing industry has had a massive boom in recent years.
Even celebrities have jumped in on the trend, with stars like Kendall Jenner and Hailey Bieber being spotted out and about in exercise outfits numerous times over the years.
Now, a TikToker named Poppy launched a massive argument about whether or not sculpting biker shorts and leggings are appropriate for outside of the gym.
She shared a
earlier this month ranting about women who wear ensembles that leave little to the imagination while shopping.
‘Those women who wear activewear, those short shorts, I think it’s great that you’re confident, you have a great figure,’ she said.

‘But do you realize when you walk, we can actually see the shape of your (assets)?’
‘Don’t come at me and say, “Why did you look? How could you not look?” It’s right there, and you’re walking towards me,’ she added.
‘It’s like, hello, can you see the shape of my (assets)? I can, you can’t avoid it.’
The clip has spread like wildfire and thousands have taken to the comment section to debate whether or not slipping into leggings to shop is acceptable.
Some praised the user for her candor, with one agreeing: ‘She’s got a point – there’s such a thing as decency in public.’
Another chimed in: ‘Amen, finally someone said it.’
Other comments demonstrated similar activewear apathy, with one writing: ‘I hate this new trend, activewear belongs in the gym.’
Some users, however, were not as impressed with Poppy’s take and slammed her.

‘Just look away, let me mind my own business. I’m not changing clothes, and I work hard for this body,’ someone responded.
‘Imagine being so bothered by other peoples clothing,’ echoed another.
Someone else raised the need to be time effective, stating: ‘Not gonna go home to change out of my gym wear clothes and then go to the shop, no I’m gonna go to the shop on my way home.’
‘Girls are already self-conscious walking around in activewear, so calling them out doesn’t make it better,’ another retorted.
Poppy has since responded to the backlash surrounding her initial clip, sharing a video of herself with a text overlay days later that reads: ‘Apparently having an opinion on activewear means I’m jealous now.’
She brazenly responded to the haters in it, declaring, ‘Some of your comments are f**king hilarious, my post was about the tights that women wear in the shopping centers, the skin colored ones, the light pink ones, the blue ones that make it look like your wearing next to nothing.’
‘I was just making it a public awareness… I’m not f**king jealous… Those of you who got offended, I’m sorry but its the f**king truth. I’m saying what everyone else is saying.’
