Aldi is bringing back its Pilates Reformer Machine after selling out in minutes earlier this year.
The budget supermarket caused a frenzy in May by putting the piece of gym equipment – which usually costs upwards of £2,000 – on sale for less than £150 – at stores across the UK.
Queues of fitness enthusiasts lined up to get their hands on a bed – with fights even breaking out in the middle aisle of some stores.
The bed will be back as a Specialbuy from November 30, with Aldi limiting the stock to just one machine per customer.
After the bed sold out in May, hundreds of people took to TikTok to share their thoughts with Pilates lovers praising its price but saying it’s smaller and less durable than expensive models. However, some instructors warned about the safety of the model.
Pilates expert Kayleigh Jayne has partnered with Aldi to give some tips on how to use the machine for an at-home workout.
This time round however, Alid has teamed up with Pilates instructor and influencer Kayleigh Jayne.
‘Aldi’s Reformer Pilates Machine is such a versatile piece of equipment — it can be adapted for beginners or advanced users, and it’s amazing for building core strength while being gentle on the joints, making Reformer accessible without compromising on price,’ she said.
The exercise, which has surged in popularity in the last 10 years, is widely touted as one of the best movements for your body and has a cult following with celebrities including Jennifer Aniston, Margot Robbie and Hailey Bieber.
But those wanting to indulge in the practice will pay an average of £35 a class – making it an extremely expensive hobby.
Instructors also recommend a person practices three time a week – meaning people can spend hundreds of pounds a month on the practice.
