Russian Experts Are Developing A Mobile System For Space Monitoring

Regarding the topic, Kaliyev said in an interview with the Russian TASS agency: “We have already been able to develop a system of hardware and software for automatic control, which allows monitoring space objects and obtaining high-quality images of them in real time, and we are planning with my colleagues to develop a mobile system for space monitoring.”

He added: “The system that we have currently developed for space monitoring relies on a large 18-inch telescope, and this telescope is very large and cannot be moved, so we plan to develop a miniature version of this system, equipped with an 8-inch telescope, that can be mounted on any car, and used as a tool to monitor the change in atmospheric parameters depending on the location.”

Kaliev pointed out that Russian experts are supposed to finish developing the mobile space monitoring system in 2026.

In recent years, Russia has expanded its capabilities in the field of space monitoring, as it has developed and launched many satellites to monitor space, celestial bodies, and the Earth’s atmosphere. Russian experts have also developed many devices and equipment to monitor space from Earth. Russia has also deployed many ground stations to monitor celestial bodies and space debris.
