Caribou Coffee

We’re kicking off with a heavy hitter in the seasonal drink department — Caribou Coffee. This regional chain, headquartered in Minnesota, offers nearly 10 seasonal drinks for you to choose from. Their menu notably blends pumpkin syrup with white mocha (a customization option available at other chains as well), while Honeycrisp Apple Syrup offers a lighter spin on those autumnal flavors.

It launched on August 20, making it one of our first stops of the season.

Dutch Bros

Dutch Bros is taking “little treat culture” to an entirely new level. From a Cookie Butter Latte to a Caramel Pumpkin Brûlée coffee, much of the 2025 menu draws inspiration from our favorite seasonal desserts. It launched on August 22 at Dutch Bros’ more than 1,000 locations — here’s how to track down a limited-edition Candied Cherry Rebel near you.

The dove

Fall flavors are officially on draft. This East Coast staple is kicking things off with a draft Pumpkin Spice Oatmilk Latte, along with traditional lattes made with the spiced syrup. Additionally, La Colombe confirms via Instagram comments that the fan-favorite Pumpkin Pie Chai Oat Draft Latte is returning to select U.S. locations.

Luckin Coffee

Established coffee chains in the United States have met their competition. Food & Wine has been tracking Luckin Coffee’s growth since it landed in the United States in late June, highlighting the China-based brand’s curiosity-driven approach and its generous discount strategy. This week, the chain shifted its approach by launching a new pumpkin drink — made with its extra-creamy “velvety milk.” The brand tells us that it’s “subtly sweet” and is created with real pumpkin purée (just like Starbucks).

McDonald’s

Yes, you can satisfy your pumpkin pie cravings even at the McDonald’s drive-thru. The mega-chain’s Pumpkin Spice Latte (served hot and iced) — first introduced back in 2013 — is making its return for another season. We see it as a no-brainer accompaniment to their seasonal Pumpkin & Crème Pie.

Peet’s Coffee

This one’s a departure from the traditional autumn menus, but it’s just as tasty. This California-based chain is introducing two fall beverages with popping pearls (Cardamon Citrus Cold Brew Oat Latte and Cardamom Citrus Mocha Frappé) alongside its standard pumpkin-flavored treats. Peet’s has fewer than 300 locations nationwide, so consider yourself lucky if you can get your hands on these.

Scooter’s Coffee

Midwestern go-to Scooter’s Coffee isn’t afraid of a little seasonal sweetness. Pick from the Pumpkin Caramelicious — a syrupy latte with pumpkin and caramel — or perhaps the pillowy Pumpkin Crème Cold Brew. Alternatively, Scooter’s offers a Caramel Apple Red Bull Infusion as a “county fair fall upgrade.”

Sonic Drive-In

Factor this into your morning run: Sonic Drive-In is deepening its investment in iced coffee, and that includes a seasonal Salted Caramel Toffee treat for this year. In its “Save a Pumpkin” ad campaignSonic’s marketing team is encouraging you to think beyond your usual PSL order. “Pumpkins deserve a better fate than becoming a seasonal treat — or something more extreme, like a body wash or deodorant,” the brand teases. We can’t argue with that.

Starbucks

Behold, the reigning seasonal champ and unofficial herald of fall, Starbucks’ original Pumpkin Spice Latte. The Seattle-based chain introduced the seasonal coffee back in 2013, kickstarting a cultural (and now, culinary) movement with social media-driven touchpoints. Starbucks reported a record launch of its fall menu this year, followed by the announcement of a second wave of Crisp Apple flavors in mid-October.

This breakfast chain has a larger footprint in Canada, but that hasn’t stopped it from adopting a few uniquely American conventions. Exhibit A is the Pumpkin Spice Iced Cappa sweet-and-frosty blend of espresso and pumpkin sauce inspired by the seasonal flavor. However, we’d argue that Tim Hortons is your go-to for another fall-inspired flavor — sweet Caramel Apple.
