She was once the most Googled woman on earth, but these days former tennis pro Anna Kournikova leads a quiet life away from the spotlight.

Holed away in her $26 million Miami mansion with her pop star partner Enrique Iglesias, Kournikova has spent years shunning fame to focus on her family.

Now, at age 44, the Russian-born beauty – who was once dubbed ‘the world’s sexiest woman’ is preparing to welcome her fourth child with Iglesias, 50.

The couple, who are not married, have three kids already – twins Lucy and Nicholas, seven, and another girl, five-year-old Mary.

But while Enrique tours the world and releases new music, Kournikova fills her days doing Pilates, shopping, and raising her children in private.

The rest of her life is a mystery, with the former FHM cover girl rarely posting on social media or stepping foot in public.

Her sprawling Miami mansion features a 16ft fence to keep out prying eyes and is located in the exclusive gated community of Bay Point.

The waterfront property also features a private dock and boat jetty, while the house itself is surrounded by tall trees.

Other celebrity residents in the affluent neighborhood include NBA legend Dwyane Wade, rapper DMX, and Cuban MLB star Liván Hernández.

In January, the first new photos in more than two years of the reclusive Kournikova emerged.

In the images, the teenage prodigy was being pushed around in a wheelchair at the Bal Harbour Shops, which is a luxury shopping destination in an affluent area of Miami Beach.

She had an orthopedic boot on and was with her two daughters and some friends.

Kournikova retired from professional tennis in 2003 at the tender age of 21 following a string of brutal injuries that included a sprained back and foot fractures.

While she never won a singles tournament during her time in the sport, she was at one point ranked No. 8 in the world.

Her biggest success in tennis came playing doubles, winning Grand Slam titles twice in her career alongside Swiss superstar Martina Hingis.

However, it’s undeniable that Kournikova’s popularity off the court far eclipsed her impressive tennis career.

By the time she was 16, the young Russian had disturbingly become a global sex symbol with a string of multi-million dollar endorsement deals that paid far more than her tennis career ever could.

She was named one of People magazine’s ‘Most Beautiful People’ in 1998 and later placed first in FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women in the World issues both the US and UK.

Kournikova was also the most downloaded sportswoman on the internet, and once she turned 18, she appeared, scantily clad of course, on the covers of GQ, Maxim, FHM, and Sports Illustrated.

Her endorsements included Adidas, Puma, Omega luxury watches, Wrigley’s chewing gum and more, with most of her deals netting her anywhere between $1 million to $6 million.

She even had her own PlayStation game called Anna Kournikova’s Smash Court Tennis

While she was never the highest ranked player in the world, many have credited Kournikova for helping make tennis mainstream.

‘Construction workers were watching tennis, business people were watching tennis. It wasn’t just normal country club corporate clients that were watching tennis now,’ her former coach Ken Merritt told CNN.

‘Women’s tennis had a lot of TV deals after she was playing. There’s a lot of things Anna did for the sport that went well beyond the box scores of wins or losses.’

After her 2003 retirement, Kournikova remained in the public eye and occasionally played tennis matches for charity.

Her last big moment in the spotlight came in 2010 when she joined NBC’s The Biggest Loser, but her time on the weight loss competition only lasted for one season.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the tennis ace ‘clashed’ with staff on the show and was also ‘too harsh’ on the contestants.

After that experience, Kournikova completely turned her back on fame.

She never appeared on another TV series again, which included televised interviews, and stopped attending red carpet events.

In a rare 2019 interview with The Sun, Kournikova reflected on her past fame, calling it ‘strange.’

‘It feels like it happened to me but it didn’t happen to me because it was such a long time ago,’ she explained.

‘I played in every single continent by the time I was 16,’ she continued.

‘It was an interesting way to grow up. When I stopped, most people had just come out of college and I was stopping the only thing I knew.’

While she insists that marriage ‘isn’t important’ to her, Kournikova has gushed about her life as a mother.

‘I love being a mum. I absolutely wanted to have children, whether I had my own or adopted. I love taking care of people,’ she said.

She also credited motherhood as the reason that she retreated from the public eye.

‘When I got pregnant, I reduced my workload and realized I want to devote all my time to children,’ she explained.

‘Being with them is happiness, I am not ready to miss a single second.’

Her longtime partner Enrique has similar thoughts when it comes to marriage, telling Parade, ‘I’ve never really thought marriage would make a difference.’

‘Maybe it’s because I come from divorced parents, but I don’t think you love somebody more because of a piece of paper.’

Although marriage isn’t important to the couple, Enrique has praised Anna’s parenting skills.

‘It’s incredible to watch her be such a great mother,’ he told The Sun. ‘It’s incredible to watch a mom do what she does, when a mother’s instinct kicks in.’

Explaining a day in her life as a mom, Kournikova said, ‘My typical day is getting up at 6.30am. We have breakfast, walk with a stroller.’

She then puts the children down for a nap and does ‘yoga or Pilates’ while they sleep.

‘From noon housework begins and by 8pm I am usually exhausted on the sofa,’ she added.
