Dolly Parton took some time to slam an AI photo of her and Reba McEntire amid a health update.
In an Instagram Reel shared on Wednesday, Oct. 8, the country icon wanted to address the fake image just one day after her sister Freida told fans she’d been “up all night praying” for her.
Parton, 79, not only took time to speak about her recent health issues, but addressed a certain AI photo that has been circulating.

“Did you see that AI picture of Reba and me? Oh lordy, I mean, they had Reba at my death bed and we both looked like we need to be buried,” she quipped in the clip.
Added Parton, “But I thought, oh my lord, but if I was really dying, I don’t think Reba would be the one at my death bed. She might come visit me earlier.”
The “Jolene” musician wanted to address it since there were “a lot of rumors flying around.”
“I figured if you heard it from me, you’d know that I was okay,” said Parton. “So anyhow, that’s what I wanted to say, and I’m not ready to die yet. I don’t think God is through with me, and I ain’t done working.”
She then told her fans how much she loved them and asked them to “keep praying for me.”
Parton’s video came just one day after her sister Freida shared a Facebook post that encouraged fans to pray for the “9 to 5” hitmaker, as she “hasn’t been feeling her best lately.”
“I truly believe in the power of prayer, and I have been lead (sic) to ask all of the world that loves her to be prayer warriors and pray with me,” Freida, 68, wrote. “She’s strong, she’s loved, and with all the prayers being lifted for her, I know in my heart she’s going to be just fine. Godspeed, my sissy Dolly. We all love you!”
She later issued a post clarifying what she had previously said, noting that she “didn’t mean to scare anyone or make it sound so serious” when asking for prayers for her sister.
“I simply asked for prayers because I believe so strongly in the power of prayer. It was nothing more than a little sister asking for prayers for her big sister,” Freida wrote in a Facebook post.
On Sept. 28, Parton revealed that she was postponing several of her Las Vegas residency dates to undergo “a few procedures” and her rehearsal time would be cut short.
“I want the fans and public to hear directly from me that, unfortunately, I will need to postpone my upcoming Las Vegas concerts,” she wrote in a statement shared to social media. “As many of you know, I’ve been dealing with some health challenges, and my doctors tell me that I must have a few procedures.”
Parton joked that it was not “the usual trip to see my plastic surgeon!”
