The agency explained that it “decided to ban the import of trucks from four Chinese brands (Dongfeng, Foton, FAW, and Sitrak), and the import of the bodies of those vehicles, due to the presence of technical problems in them, which may pose a great danger to drivers and users of public roads, including pedestrians.”

The agency indicated that it conducted surprise inspections on those vehicles exported to Russian territory, and based on the results, it decided to suspend the approval and stop the import of vehicles of the following models:

-Dongfeng vehicles of Dongfeng series.

– Foton vehicles of the BJ4189 category.

– Sitrak ZZHS vehicles.

– FAW vehicles CA4250 and CA4180.

– Sitrak ZZHS vehicles.

– Foton M4L vehicle bodies.

In addition, it is prohibited to import trucks into Russia whose documents are issued by other countries in the Eurasian Economic Union, including:

-Dongfeng DFH5200B vehicles.

– Foton H5 vehicles.

– FAW JH6-B 8X4 vehicles.

Among the problems observed by the agency in the aforementioned vehicles: a defect in the braking systems, high noise levels, problems with the control levers, in addition to defects in the installation of emergency help devices. Violations were also discovered related to seat belts, the installation of seats and head restraints, in addition to violations in the emission levels of harmful gases, and problems in the steering systems.
